Mohun Bagan Day Since 2001, it has been celebrated 29 July Each year, in memory of Mohun Bagan’s victory over East Yorkshire Regiment at the 1911 IFA Shield final.
Mohun Bagan Ratna, an award given each year to former players in recognition of their achievements, is presented every Mohun Bagan Day. Sailen Manna, a former captain, was the first recipient.

Mohun Bagan Athletic Club is an Indian professional sport club, based in Kolkata (West Bengal), India. The club was founded in 1889 and is considered one of the oldest clubs in India and Asia. It is best known for its triumph over East Yorkshire Regiment at the 1911 IFA Shield final.
Mohun Bagan became the first Indian side to win a tournament against a British team. This was an important moment in India’s quest for independence. Mohun Bagan has been a multi-sport club but football has been its primary sport since its inception.
They have won the top-flight league five times, the National Football League three times and the I-League twice. They have won the Federation Cup championship 14 times, making them the most successful Indian team in its history. They have also won numerous other trophies including the Durand Cup (16 time), IFA Shield (22 twice) and the Calcutta Football League (30 time).
The club has won 253 trophies in total.
Mohun Bagan was inducted into the Club of Pioneers,a network of the oldest existing football clubs around the world, on 29 July 2019 as the club celebrated its 130th year in existence.
After Kolkata Games and Sports Private Limited, which owned ATK FC, merged with Mohun Bagan Football Club India Private Limited, the legal entity responsible for overseeing the football section’s affairs, to create ATK Mohun Bagan FC.
